A new residential complex in an area that has undergone multiple transformations over time: first the passage of the railway, then the Aurelia road, the drainage of a stream, the construction of a hotel and other homes. The project seeks to reshape the hill, once agricultural and rich in olive trees, respecting the client's requests. The houses nestled into the terraced hillside reconstruct the site's traditional settlement principles. The material language seeks to reinterpret the local tradition in a contemporary way: stone walls, Ligurian shutters, and pergolas. The shared swimming pool is hidden among the olive trees, invisible from the street, and the access to the garage is positioned uphill to enhance the public garden, directly accessible from the promenade via an underpass. The project is speculative (much noble architecture of the past has been) without neglecting the landscape.
